With the arrival of Fizban’s and the gem dragons, it occurred to me that in D&D not only dragons have all kinds of colors but also tieflings.
Tiefling have their hellish appearance because their ancestry/blood is tied to the devils. What if a powerful dragon came along and said, “nah your blood is mine now”. That’s what inspired the idea for the Amethyst Bloodline tiefling.
In addition I also saw some gorgeous art of a tiefling/earth genasi hybrid created by u/artofjenni on Instagram, and figured that a Dao could probably do the same thing if a dragon could (I mean they can wish after all), and thus here are 2 different types of Amethyst Tieflings, even one without Darkvision!
